I field test and review all types of camping gear and once in a while I seem to pick up extra items, normally pocket knives. I must have 30 of them. This little knife by Ka-Bar is pretty cool. It's made in Taiwan and seems of pretty good quality. I've carried it for two weeks and have used it daily to open boxes or whatever needs cutting. The clip can be switched to either side and mounted on the top or bottom, this gives you 4 different carry options. The blade is painted black and has been pretty durable so far. It opens easily with one hand using the thumbhole. Although it is not a large knife it is a fat knife. It actually looks pretty cool and feels good in your hand. I have a bunch of pocket knives from Spyderco, Cold Steel, Benchmade, Ontario and others and I do enjoy carrying this knife.

I am very pleased with this knife. It was very sharp out of box. Has a good weight and size. The lock on the knife is a little stiff at first but with repeated use has become easier to close. Would recommend again.
