The back is a water-resistant material so you don't get wet when sitting on damp grass. The top is a soft cotton type material. The blanket is lightly padded to keep you comfortable from hard ground and small pebbles. It's machine washable. It folds up easily to fit back in the matching tote bag that it comes packed in. It's large enough to hold two adults, a baby and all of the baby's play things. My two-year-old fell the first time he stepped on the blanket because the quilted top slipped right out from under him. I would have returned it immediately, but I have needed a waterproof blanket several times lately. I don't know if it's just a faulty blanket or if they are all this way. I'm unhappy with my purchase because it was more expensive than several other types, but I liked the look of it, so I spent the extra money. It is terrific because the grass does not stick to it so you can shake it off and the backside is water resistant for that recently watered grass that everyone hates to put blankets on! Funny thing is, even wet grass does not stick to it that much! I love how I can fold it up into a carrying case and put sunscreen, etc into the side pocket. It also washes perfectly! I will be giving this as a gift for every new family! |
