I have two sets of these knives and the serve my purposes well.I have been "into" throwing knives since I was a small lad and since I still have a lot of kid in me, I still enjoy the hobby. I have a large, rather soft post in my backyard near the barn that I practice with. These knives are small. They are also black. This creates problems. Unless you are working in a completely bare area it is quite easy to loose the things. I took care of that with a can of bright yellow spray paint on the handles. These little knives are absolutely ideal for the beginner as they ARE NOT SHARP when you receive them. Folks to start with razor sharp knives end up with nasty little cuts no matter how they hold the knife or what technique they try to use at first.
